Lions Recycle for Sight
For more than 80 years, individual Lions clubs have collected used eyeglasses for distribution to the needy in developing nations. Do you have an old pair of glasses you would like to donate? Recycle for Sight Eyeglass collection boxes are located in the following Newtown locations: |

The Newtown Lions Club provides major sponsorship annually for Fidelco of Ct. and has over the years provided support to Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The resources provided by these Service Dogs for the Blind is essential for people with significantly impaired vision providing independent living. By supporting the Newtown Lions you are providing support for these important services. You can also volunteer to help raise puppy's for service and help retire service dogs in your community. | |||
The Connecticut Radio Information System (CRIS), is Connecticut's only radio reading service for the eyesight impaired. You can volunteer to be a reader for this service. The Newtown Lions Club annually supports this Charity. Click the icon to learn more. |
